{"id":49,"date":"2018-11-07T17:38:29","date_gmt":"2018-11-07T17:38:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/estudiosdeldesarrollo.mx\/migracionydesarrolloenglishversion\/?page_id=49"},"modified":"2020-12-21T18:45:06","modified_gmt":"2020-12-21T18:45:06","slug":"evaluacion-por-pares","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/estudiosdeldesarrollo.mx\/migracionydesarrolloenglishversion\/evaluacion-por-pares\/","title":{"rendered":"Peer Review"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The inclusion of articles in the\u00a0<em>Migraci\u00f3n y Desarrollo<\/em> journal is subject to its editorial policies; these include peer review, a fundamental step in the contruction of critical thought, which is based upon objectivity, source validation, confidentiality and input into editorial decisions.<\/p>\n<p>To that end, all texts are submitted to a preliminary editorial vetting which ensures that they comply with the requirements and adhere to the journal&#8217;s overall theme. Documents which fall into the \u00abArticles\u00bb and \u00abConjecture and Debate\u00bb section are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process involving both internal and external reviewers. The section \u00abActors&#8217; Voices\u00bb, given its particular nature, include articles selected and evaluated by the Editorial Board.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to note that all participants in the evaluation process are bound by the guidelines contained in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/estudiosdeldesarrollo.mx\/migracionydesarrolloenglishversion\/codigo-de-etica\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Code of Ethics<\/span><\/a>, which is based upon the\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/publicationethics.org\/core-practices\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">principles of the Committee on Ethics in Publication (COPE)<\/a><\/span>. In order for a text to be published, it is required to have received two positive evaluations.
